Check out my latest playlist on YouTube. It's a series of exercises on Art Spectrum Colourfix Paper, one of my favorite surfaces. In the next several months all the videos from my workshop "Wax and Heat, a Match Made in Heaven" will be voiced over and uploaded on the Icarus Art channel. Artists who couldn't attend my workshop will have the opportunity to view the videos and practice the techniques.

Fascinating! The heated drawing board has really brought an entire new dimension to colored pencils. Wonderful invention and a great idea.

Ester - this is so very helpful! I have been waiting for something like this - it makes so much sense now why things did/didn’t work. Now I’m really going to have fun :-)

Thanks so much for sharing this information Ester. I found it fascinating to see how both the oil pastel and coloured pencils behaved when applied over heat. I didn’t realise it would be possible to apply coloured pencil on top of the pastel either.
I can see huge potential for being able to create such lovely blended passages. Although I have used Colorfix paper, I always found it near impossible to blend on it with O.P. I can see I’m going to have to invest in one of your boards! Thankyou.

This is gorgeous, I hope you will release instructional DVDs one day as I would love to do a course with you, but as I live in Germany I hardly have hope to see you one day over here..
And you have to find a representative here in Europe, so not only U.S. artists will get an easy access to the wonderful Icarus board..

Thank you Theresa and Ines. Videos are a wonderful way to reach people around the world - this is where I will focus from now on.
