My Artwork on the CPSA Banner

CPSA Banner

I have the honor to be one of ten artists whose art is displayed on the new Colored Pencil Society of America corporate banner. This banner is used at NAMTA (National Art Materials Trade Association) and most likely at the CPSA convention location each summer.

My artwork selected is Social Network and you can find it on the bottom, to the left of the caption: "Yes. It's colored pencil".

Congratulations to the other nine artists who have been chosen as CPSA ambassadors on the new banner.

Another Busy Summer Ahead

OC Register

Last Sunday I received great news; I was accepted as an exhibitor at the Art-A-Fair, a Laguna Beach summer festival that will run from June 28 to September 1. In its 47th year, Art-A-Fair welcomes artists from around the world to represent a variety of mediums and techniques in two and three dimensional forms. I'm thrilled to have been invited and look forward to see my collectors, friends and supporters and, of course, to establish many new connections.

Yesterday I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that "Above and Below" is displayed in an online gallery of THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER along with 15 other artworks, in an article on the Art-A-Fair jurying process.

Another important event that will take place this coming summer is the Colored Pencil Society of America 21st Annual Convention in Brea, California. I'm so excited that this year the CPSA convention will take place practically in my own backyard! Their exhibition, a collection of the best colored pencil artwork in the world, is not to be missed.

Orange Coast Magazine

The Artist Spotlight of the August issue of Orange Coast Magazine features my artwork "Social Network". It includes information on my background, how I create my art, what inspires me to do it and that I'm showing at the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts. For some reasons they forgot to mention the other mediums I use in my technique, colored pencil and oil pastel.

Orange Coast is the premier local lifestyle magazine of the region, bringing together Southern California's most affluent coastal communities through smart, fun, and timely editorial content, compelling photographs and quality advertising.

My artwork Social Network was chosen to be featured in Ann Kullberg's book CP Treasures. This book is described as "a new collection chronicling the amazing colored pencil work being created at this moment across the world.  It showcases over 70 stunning pieces from artists in 11 countries with a wide array of styles, surfaces and techniques."  If you click the link above, you can preview the book (my artwork is on page 55).

I'm so excited to have been chosen as one of the artists featured on the PRISMACOLOR website's "Meet the Artist" section.

I'm sure you'll recognize some of the names, like Vera Curnow, the Founder of the Colored Pencil Society of America, or Abdi Farah, the winner of Bravo's Work Of Art, Season 1. Hopefully you'll browse through all the talented artist profiles.

If you'd like to read my interview, this link will bring you directly to my page. There you need to scroll down and click the tab "interview".

My Artwork on the Cover of “Pratique des Arts”

My artwork "The Butterfly Effect" was chosen for the cover of the current issue of  the prestigious French art magazine Pratique des Arts. The Portfolio section titled  "Quand les artistes f^etent le printemps" is a showcase of how artists around the world celebrate spring with their colorful rendition of flowers. Another of my artworks, "Across the Universe", is also featured in the same section.
