Here's a video on how I prime canvas for drawing media (colored pencil, artist crayon, wax pastel, and oil pastel). Primed canvas is now my favorite surface to use with the Icarus board, perfect for a glass-less framing presentation.

Hi Ester, This is wonderful information! Thank you for taking the time to do this video. Does it need to sit for a week if you are not using your Icarus Board? Also, how do you store them while they are curing? Can you stack them if you want to have several ready to draw on? Thank you for answering me. Susie :) Oh yeah, How do you put it on the frame when it is done?

I’m glad you enjoyed the video, Susie!
No, it doesn’t need to cure for a week if you’re not using the Icarus board. A few days should do it, depending on how hard your press with pencils; you’ll be able to judge that yourself.
I usually hang each canvas on my studio wall with a few strips of tape. The more they are exposed to air the quicker they cure. You can stack them if you don’t need to use them all right away.
I mount the canvas on Claybords. You can do it with glue or with double stick mounting sheets. Here are some posts about mounting:

If you leave enough canvas for stretching, you can also stretch the canvas on stretch bars.
